A Budget Tablet Focused on Practical Usage

OnePlus has introduced its latest entry-level tablet, the OnePlus Pad Lite, designed specifically for students and professionals seeking reliable performance for everyday tasks. Priced under ₹15,000, this new Android tablet offers a balanced combination of design, performance, and battery life that positions it strongly in the budget segment.

With a slim 7.39mm metallic build and a weight of 533 grams, the tablet feels premium yet lightweight. It comes in a single Aero Blue color variant, featuring a sleek dual-tone finish and a clean rear profile with a single rear camera and OnePlus branding.

Display and Multimedia Experience

The 11-inch Full HD LCD display supports a 90Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color depth, delivering vibrant colors and smooth visuals for studying, media consumption, and multitasking. It offers a peak brightness of 500 nits, making it suitable for indoor and moderate outdoor use.

Thanks to TÜV Rheinland certification, the display reduces harmful blue light exposure and is flicker-free, ensuring comfort during prolonged reading sessions or online classes.

Adding to the multimedia experience, the Pad Lite is equipped with four stereo speakers powered by Dolby Atmos, offering an immersive audio setup ideal for video calls, movie streaming, or gaming.

Performance and Software

The tablet is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, a 6nm processor known for its efficiency and decent gaming performance. During testing, the Pad Lite handled BGMI at 60fps (Smooth + Extreme settings) and also supported HDR Ultra settings, which is rare in this price range.

It scored over 433,000 on AnTuTu, with CPU throttling at just 84% and overall performance stability at 99.5%, demonstrating its capability for multitasking and light-to-moderate gaming.

The tablet ships with OxygenOS 13.2 based on Android 13 and is expected to receive consistent updates. Features like split-screen, screen recording, and OnePlus Connect allow seamless file sharing between the tablet and Mac OS.

Battery Life and Charging

One of the standout features is the 9340mAh battery, which is among the largest in the segment. It supports 33W fast charging, although the box includes a 15W SuperVOOC charger.

This large battery easily lasts through an entire day of usage, whether it’s back-to-back video calls, studying sessions, or content consumption.

Camera Setup and Connectivity

Both the rear and front cameras are 5MP, tuned for practical use cases like video calls, document scanning, and online classes. The image and video quality in indoor lighting is serviceable, especially for virtual communication.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5 (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.4, and an LTE version with a SIM slot. However, NFC is not supported.

Variants and Pricing

The OnePlus Pad Lite is available in two configurations:

  • 6GB RAM + 128GB storage (Wi-Fi only): ₹12,999
  • 8GB RAM + 128GB storage (Wi-Fi + LTE): Price yet to be confirmed

Both models use LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, offering good app load speeds and smoother multitasking.

For users seeking an Android tablet under ₹15,000, the OnePlus Pad Lite stands out as a well-rounded device. It is particularly suited for:

  • Students attending online classes, reading PDFs, or making Zoom calls
  • Light professional use, such as presentations and note-taking
